Breaking the surround of Abadan

Abadan Island is located in south west of Iran. During the imposed war, Iraq tried to occupy Abadan via the east of Karoon (a main river of south Iran) and the nourth of Bahmanshir (a southern city). Iraqis surrounded this island but, Iranian forces did their best to break the surround of Abadan and finally, in 1982 during an operation called "Samenolaemmeh" they attacked to the positions of the enemies and occupied them. So, after 24 hours Abadan Island was released.
